Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Plan

Public Listening Session Invitation

The Town secured a Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) program grant from the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEEA) in the amount of $37,000 to complete a community resiliency and hazard mitigation planning process and, in addition, to examine the community’s vulnerabilities and strengths and identify priority actions to build resilience as the climate changes.

Communities that complete the MVP program become certified as an MVP community and are eligible for MVP Action Grant funding and other opportunities. For more information please visit EOEEA's website at https://www.mass.gov/municipal-vulnerability-preparedness-mvp-program.

Over the last year, Dunstable has worked to undertake a Community Resilience Building process to prepare a Hazard Mitigation Plan, compliant with state and federal requirements, and document the planning process in a joint Summary of Findings report (HMP-MVP Report).  The draft is available for review and we are looking for your input before we submit this to our regulators.

Review the Hazard Mitigation Plan and a Summary of Findings Report available below and provide your feedback. You are welcome to submit comments on the draft plan during the listening session and/or through an online survey: https://forms.office.com/r/qDr82Sk3XQ.
