The Special Town Meeting is to vote on two (2) Articles which will cover the Rt. 113 Project and the authorization of the awarding of a lease, for a duration greater than 3 years, for the placement of cellular antennas on the Water Tower. Copies of the Special Town Meeting Warrant will be available on this page of the towns website along with other related materials which will be provided as the date approaches. Physical copies have been posted at the Town Hall and at the Dunstable Post Office with a curtesy copy provided at the Dunstable Free Public Library. The meeting will be held in Swallow-Union's gymnasium. Masks and social distancing will be required and the gymnasiums exterior doors will be open and proper ventilation ensured. Those planning to attend should therefore dress appropriately. A public hearing will be held prior to the town meeting, in accordance with §4 of the Advisory Board By-Law via Zoom, for the consideration of the two (2) warrant articles and a meeting posting with appropriate credentials will be posted. Be advised that pursuant to MGL Chapter 92 §7 of the Acts of 2020 and in consideration of Governor Baker’s March 10, 2020 declaration of a state of emergency and upon the recommendation of the Board of Health, the Board of Selectmen have acted to reduce the quorum for this meeting to 10 registered voters. The Selectmen will be working closely with the Board of Health and other stakeholders to ensure that the meeting is conducted as safely as possible.The Board of Selectmen are keeping the meeting warrant as short as possible to aid the speed of the meeting and focus on non-controversial topics.

Planned safety protocols include:

  • Space will be pre-cleaned prior to use
  • Outer doors will remain open during the meeting
  • Participant seat will be arranged in excess of the 6’ social distancing requirement
  • N95 safety masks will be available for all participants (pick yours up at Voter Check-In), masks are to be worn throughout the meeting
  • Plexi glass shields and sanitizers will be available in appropriate areas

If you are vulnerable or sick, we encourage you not to attend this Special Town Meeting. In the event of inclement weather for January 28, 2021, it is anticipated the Town Moderator will reschedule the Special Town Meeting to Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the same time and location.
