PRESS RELEASE – ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION INFORMATION

May 21, 2024 Annual Town Election

  • Monday, March 11, 2024 - first day to obtain nomination papers
  • Monday, April 8, 2024 by 5:00PM - last day to obtain nomination papers
  • Thursday, April 11, 2024 by 5:00PM - last day to submit nomination papers
  • Wednesday, April 17, 2024 - last day for objections / withdrawals from the race

Seats available are as follows:

  • (2) Advisory Board – 3 year term
  • (1) Advisory Board – 2 year term
  • (1) Board of Assessors – 3 year term
  • (1) Board of Assessors – 2 year term
  • (1) Board of Health – 3 year term
  • (1) Commissioners of Trust Fund – 3 year term
  • (2) Constable – each a 1 year term
  • (1) Library Trustee – 3 year term
  • (1) Planning Board – 5 year term
  • (1) Road Commissioner – 3 year term
  • (1) School Committee (GDRSD) – 3 year term
  • (1) Water Commissioner – 3 year term
  • (1) Water Commissioner – 1 year term
  • (1) Select Board – 3 year term
  • (1) Town Moderator - 3 year term

Candidates must have twenty (20) certified voter’s signatures on their nomination papers to have their name placed on the ballot.

THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE FOR THE ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION IS MAY 10, 2024. YOU CAN REGISTER TO VOTE ONLINE OR IN THE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE.
