UPDATED Announcement Concerning Halloween & Voting in 2020

Traditional Halloween Trick-or-Treat activities have been classified as a high risk activity by the Centers for Disease Control in relation to COVID19 risks.  The Board of Selectmen and the Board of Health met recently to consider these risks. Dunstable usually has very few trick or treaters. We have had a very low COVID-19 infection rate so far, with a few new infections this week. Despite the new cases, we have decided to continue to allow Trick-or-Treat to continue if people choose to participate with the strong suggestion that residents follow this guidance:

  • Vulnerable people or people with underlying health complications are strongly advised not to participate in collecting or distributing treats
  • Travel in small household groups
  • The distribution of treats should be kept outdoors (not in foyers or other enclosed areas in the house)
  • Place candy on platters rather than bowls
  • Household groups should strive to remain socially distanced from other household groups while traveling about house to house and approaching houses
  • Continue to wear a mask when socially distancing (6 feet) cannot be maintained
  • Refrain from indoor gatherings/parties that violate the Governor's Order
