Notice from Police Dept. Regarding Temporary Closure of Rt. 113 beginning on 8/26/22 & ending 8/29/22

113 Road Closure

Beginning Friday August 26, at approximately 6:00 PM Main St (Rt. 113) will be closed in order to install a culvert across both travel lanes. The road will reopen on Monday the 29th sometime in the morning as long as everything remains on schedule. 

During this time, a detour will be in place.  It is strongly recommended that motorist find an alternate route. 

Heading east, the detour will begin at the intersection of Main and High St (Town Hall). No through traffic will be allowed to pass. Residents who live prior to the construction area will be able to access their homes.

If traveling Westbound the detour will begin at the intersection of Main St and Forest St. Residents who live on Main St, Westford St, or Hillcrest will be permitted passed the detour to access their homes. No other vehicles will be allowed through.

Vehicles traveling North on Lowell St onto Main St will be detoured East on Main St to the intersection of Forest St and Main St and directed through the detour.

Traffic entering on to Main St from Westford will only be able to head east towards Tyngsboro.

Please expect significant delays during this time. 

We ask all motorists to use caution through the detour. The speed limit is 25 MPH through the area and all of the roads are narrow.
