Working Fire, 60 Pond Street

On March 1, 2014 at approximately 9:00am, a Unstable Resident reported a barn on fire at 60 Pond Street. Within minutes Chief Brian Rich arrived on scene and a found a fully involved barn fire with a chicken coop attached, that housed some chickens. The Chief requested a working fire that brought mutual aid from Proton, Pepperell, Tyngsboro and Hudson NH to the scene. A Nashua Engine covered the station while crews worked at the building fire. There was a minor injury to one resident who refused treatment. The chickens were rescued, without injury. Unfortunately the barn and its contents were a complete loss.
