Town Center Visioning Project

project area

The purpose of this project is to lead a community visioning process to begin engagement around the potential future of Route 113 and Main Street through Dunstable Town Center. This project will set the stage for a larger corridor project based on the community’s long-range land use vision for Town Center growth and preservation. It will define land use goals for economic development, housing, open space and conservation, historic preservation, and other uses along Route 113, as well as ways to improve safety and access for those traveling on foot, wheelchairs, strollers, and bicycles while controlling vehicle speeds.

The project began with a public workshop on August 13, 2025 where we discussed current land uses and ways to improve connections and opportunities in the center of our community.  You can review the presentation here.

Currently there is a survey open through September 15th, modeled after and building off some of the priorities & ideas identified at the workshop. Let us know what you love about the Town Center, how it could be improved, and specific changes you’d like to see.

This Fall, NMCOG will schedule a walk-shop through the project area to assess existing conditions and get additional participant input. Finally, from October 2025 - March 2026 NMCOG will work with the town examining existing multimodal conditions & develop recommendations to improve safety and performance of the 113 corridor.

Keep an eye out for more information to be shared as the project progresses.
