 Board of Water Commissioners 2/28/2024

Attendees: Board members- John O’Brien, Mat Morton, David Tully III. Other attendees: Paul Brinkman Pepperell Water Dept.

6:02 PM Motion made by Mr. Morton to start the meeting; motion was seconded by Mr. O’Brien.

• Accepted January meeting minutes.
• Mr. Brinkman presented results of DCR report.  There is unaccounted for water use in the report. Review of water meters and search for potential leaks is necessary to look for unaccounted water. Leaks would be small and most likely on a service to a building.  A driver of this work is to determine the amount of water that can be sold to the town of Pepperell.
• Discussed potential meter upgrade project.
• Discussed sanitary survey- There were no violations found.  State is looking for permanent chlorination solution quickly. We will need stamped drawing to submit to them on that project, funding still needed.
• School PFAS update, Pepperell DPW has filed for grants and funding the also have funding in place in their town.
• Discussed Pepperell/ Dunstable water connection, towns will need to agree on water exchange balanced with the upgrades to the Dunstable system.
• All Dunstable water buildings we rekeyed to matching keys.
• Reviewed billings and past due billings. Letters to be sent on past due billings.

Mr. Morton made motion to end the meeting; the motion was seconded by Mr. Tully. Meeting adjourned 6:53 PM
