Memorial Day Ceremonies - Sunday, May 26, 2024 - 1pm

Please join the Town of Dunstable to commemorate Memorial Day and the heroes who have lost their lives defending our country. This year’s remembrance will be the Gulf wars.

1:00 PM: Memorial Day Parade kicks off from the Public Library. The route follows Main Street from the library to Town Hall. At Town Hall, a brief speaking program will take place with special guest speaker, our State Representative Margaret Scarsdale, highlighting the our Veterans activites during the Gulf wars and some of hte issues they are facing today. There will also be the Presentation of Quilt by the Quilting Group to Dana Barnes.  Dana spent several years in the Navy of which, most of them were in Vietnam in the late 60s, helping the Army and South Vietnamese rebuild some to their towns just south of the DMZ, and other parts of Vietnam.

1:45 PM: Following the speaking program at Town Hall, the parade continues with a ceremony at Central Cemetery where the guest speaker will be Army retired Col. Mike Kolodziej, who fought in Iran and Afghanistan.

After the Parade, all are invited back to the Dunstable Church for refreshments. We hope to see you there.
