Keep Vehicle Inspection Stickers Current

Effective February 27, 2005, the Registry of Motor Vehicles will enact a new regulation which will suspend/revoke the registration of a vehicle possessing an expired inspection sticker. Offenses for operating a motor vehicle on a public way with a suspended/revoked registration do not allow officers the discretion to issue a civil fine; defendants must appear before the criminal court. A 60 day grace period will still remain in effect for emission rejection failure, but safety rejection stickers must be corrected immediately.
