YMCA Camp Massapoag is Hosting a Polar Plunge to Fundraise Camper Scholarships

DUNSTABLE, Mass., February 19, 2026 – YMCA Camp Massapoag is excited to announce their 1st Annual Massapoag Plunge on Feb. 28, to raise funds for their camper scholarships. The event will be held at Camp Massapoag, 234 Hall St., Dunstable, MA, with check-in starting at noon and the first plunge in the lake at 1 p.m.

Randle Cassady, Senior Program Director of YMCA Camp Massapoag said, “The Massapoag Plunge is a powerful way that our community can come together to ensure every child has access to a safe, character building, screen free, summer camp experience. The funds raised directly remove financial barriers for families who need support.”

To participate in the plunge, participants need to be at least 16 years old, with parental or guardian consent. The packet to register can be found on the Lowell YMCA and Camp Massapoag website, greaterlowellymca.org. Those interested in participating are encouraged to register with a team of at least 4 people. The minimum amount needed to fundraise is $50, which is due when you check in.

This is an exciting opportunity for those in the community to do something fun while also raising money. Cassady said, “The Plunge transforms a moment of fun and challenge into a lasting impact, helping us provide camper scholarships and support the Camp Massapoag program that forges friendships, makes memories, and is full of outdoor adventures.”
