New 2-year prices announced for Dunstable Community Power

Dunstable Community Power, Dunstable’s municipal group electricity buying program, will change to new, 2-year prices in December. While changes in the electricity market have increased prices overall, most participants will still pay less than National Grid’s current residential Basic Service price. All participants will enjoy 2 years of price stability. The program has saved Dunstable electricity customers more than $100,000 compared with National Grid’s prices since launching in June 2025.

New, fixed prices (December 2026 – December 2028):

Dunstable Standard – 16.545 ¢/kWh: Lower than National Grid’s current residential price of 17.185 ¢/kWh. Most participants are enrolled in Dunstable Standard.

Dunstable Green – 18.969 ¢/kWh: Will continue to provide electricity that is 100% from renewable sources.

Please note that National Grid’s price is fixed through January 31, 2027, and savings beyond that date cannot be guaranteed.

Important information for participants:

No action is required for current Dunstable Community Power participants. The price change will occur automatically in December, and the new price will appear on January electric bills.

The program’s electricity supplier will remain Dynegy, and participants will continue to see “Dynegy – Dunstable Community Power” on their bills.

Participation is not required. Participants are free to choose a different program option or leave the program at any time with no fee or penalty. Those wishing to make changes before the new prices take effect should submit their request no later than 14 days before their December 2026 meter read date, found on their November National Grid electric bill.
