Dunstable Veteran Services Office - March 2025 Update

vso update

Due to an increased shortage of qualified trade workers, there is a high demand for apprentice-level and skilled labor positions. Learning a trade or doing an apprenticeship is an excellent option for veterans.
The following is a guide to help veterans learn about the benefits of non-traditional post secondary education and other important details about vocational and apprenticeship programs, such as eligibility, costs, and transitioning to working civilian.  Many of these programs are paid for by the Government.
You can view the guide here: https://www.intelligent.com/veterans-guide-to-vocational-and-apprenticeship-programs/.

I would like to give recognition to those vets I have in the Dunstable database who were born for each month but have since passed away.  This month I like to honor the following:

  • Francis A Coyle – 22 March 1904 – 4 March 2000 – USCG – WWII
  • Leo R Dumont – 26 March 1921 – 24 Dec 2014 – USA - WWII
  • Leonard R Dumont -11 March 1933 – 9 Sep 2015 – USA - Korea
  • Robert R Rockwell – 1 March 1925 – June 6 1944 – USA - WWII
  • William B Sheridan -31 March 1927 – 20 Jan 2004 – USN - WWII

Our many thanks to those who went the extra step to serve our country.

As always, if you know of any Veteran or family member of any veteran who might need assistance please contact me.  I am normally available from 10:00AM to 2:00PM on Mondays almost every week.  You can call or text on my cell and leave a message 978-496-0985 or send me an email anytime at [email protected].  God Bless.
