Peacock Players: ALL SHOOK UP featuring the music of Elvis Presley. We are planning an excursion to see this musical in Nashua on Saturday May 16th 2 p.m. Matinee. Council on aging is purchasing a block of 25 tickets and will cover part of the ticket. We are asking for $10 per ticket. These tickets will be transferable but non-refundable once you sign up. We are also planning to gather for lunch ( not covered by COA) at Casa Vieja Mexican Grill just a short walk from the venue. To reserve your space, you must pay in advance. Payment can be at the senior luncheon or cash/check at Town Hall Upper Level attention : Chuck or by mailing in your payment to Dunstable C.O.A. 511 Main Street, Dunstable MA 01827 Checks can be made out to Town of Dunstable. Please include contact information when leaving or mailing payment. Only 2 Tickets Left in our Block!
Groton Dunstable School Committee Senior Appreciation Dinner. The Groton Dunstable School District is very pleased to invite you, and a guest, to the second annual Senior Appreciation Dinner, to be held on May 5th, from 4-6 at the Groton Dunstable High School, located at 703 Chicopee Row, Groton, MA. We are excited to connect current Groton Dunstable students with seniors from Groton and Dunstable, and we will have students, faculty, and School Committee members on hand to welcome you to the building, show you around and to serve dinner. The menu will consist of garden salad, stuffed shells, meatballs, pasta with butter, soup and rolls, with coffee and dessert to follow.We are hoping that you will join us and take part in this annual community building tradition. Unfortunately, due to the capacity of the cafeteria of the High School, we have to limit attendance to 100 guests, so if you are interested in attending, please be sure to reserve your spots early. Upcoming Weekly Wednesday Luncheons at The Dunstable Public Library (unless noted otherwise). Please remember to ensure we have enough food, your reservation for lunch must be made by the prior Wednesday. You can sign up at the luncheon or by reaching out to Chuck at [email protected] or 978-649-4514x223 A suggested contribution of $5 from those who can afford it, is greatly appreciated to offset costs, this is voluntary please do not let it stop you from attending. Lunch is served at Noon but the space is available from 10-2 p.m. Before and after lunch, there are several games you can join in on including Scrabble & Mexican Train Dominoes. Please see individual dates for unique entertainment or guests.
April 29th - Grilled Hot Dog with baked beans and cinnamon apples.
May 6th- Spring Trip to Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School. Meal at the Student Run Restaurant. No lunch will be served at the library at the day, but you are still welcome to gather for games. All spots are filled, for those who are attending doors open at 11 a.m. you must have a photo ID to enter the school. Lunch will be served by 11:30 a.m.
May 13th Town Residents Turning 90 Celebration! Come celebrate them with us at the Library. Special Italian Pasta Lunch by Traveling Chef Caterers. Ravioli or Rigatoni. Bolognese or Al Fredo Sauce, Vegetables. Caesar Salad and Dessert. Volunteer Dean L. will also be present with Tech Support Help with your computer or phone.
May 20th- Tacos & Bingo!! $10 for both Bingo and Lunch or $5 each. There are 7 chances to win for $5.00 COA offers 4 prizes and the final 3 chances are cash prizes, which is 100% of what people pay to play. The more who play, the higher then stakes. The lunch is available for 55 plus residents but the game is open to any adults who want to join. Please arrive by 12:45 p.m. for Bingo.
EXERCISE PROGRAM
Bone Builders Exercise Class is free to residents at the Dunstable Public Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 A.M. and Friday at 11:15 A.M. If you have not participated before, please feel free to stop by to observe and pick up enrollment paperwork.
FREE! Fit Over 50 "Fitness Fusion Class" - As part of a Wellness Grant from Age Span this has been extended through February. This is a great class for those who are looking for a class that might be a little more challenging than Bone Builders. This Class Meets Monday Mornings at 11:30 a.m. at Town Hall Lower Level and is FREE! Fitness Fusion combines a variety of exercise styles to offer a low impact but powerful session that targets all areas of the body with great music and a fun atmosphere with a great instructor from the YMCA. This class is typically $10 so if you haven't tried it yet, come join in on Mondays while the cost is covered for you. There will be no class on President's Day April 20th
AROUND TOWN:
Meet The Candidates - Come meet the candidates for contested offices in upcoming Town Election. We will be meeting in the GRANGE HALL in Town Hall to hear from candidates for the Select Board, Roads Commission, and Advisory Board. Each candidate will have time to introduce themselves, explain their positions and goals, and take questions from the audience. We are planning to use the town’s OWL recording system to capture our meeting to be posted to YouTube later. Thursday 4/23/26 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Organized by Friends of Dunstable, an ad hoc non-partisan team of citizens promoting Democracy through action.
