The Northern Middlesex Metropolitan Planning Organization (NMMPO) has released a draft amendment to the FFY 2019-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for public comment. The proposed TIP amendment involves a reduction in FFY 2019 funding for the rehabilitation of the Mill Street Bridge in Tewksbury due to a scope change. Funding for the purchase of six vans by the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) is also included in the amendment. A summary of the draft amendment can be found at www.nmcog.org.
Two upcoming public meetings have been scheduled. The comment period for the TIP amendment ends on February 22.
A second public meeting is scheduled for February 27 at 2:00 pm, when the NMMPO will meet to consider endorsement of the proposed TIP amendment. This meeting will also be held at the NMCOG office at the above address.
