The town has some trust funds that were given or bequeathed for the benefit of the community. The funds are each managed by a trust fund commission, which distributes income from the trust in accordance with the terms of the trust. Each commission keeps a record of all decisions, and at the close of each financial year, makes a report showing the total amount of the funds and their investments, receipts, and disbursements, setting forth in detail the sources of the receipts and the purposes of the expenditures.
