Town Meetings are your opportunity to provide input on the government of our community. Most decisions are made at the Annual Town Meeting in May. However, important decisions are also made at Special Town Meetings.
The Annual Town Meeting is held the second Monday in May, followed by the Annual Town Election on the third Monday in May.
The warrant articles for the Annual Town Meeting are published in the Town Report, which is distributed to all households before the annual meeting. Warrant articles for special town meetings are posted at the Town Hall and will be posted on this website whenever possible.
Town Meetings are conducted by our Town Moderator. If you are not familiar with Town Meetings, you can pick up a booklet that explains the process from the Town Clerk's office, or visit www.state.ma.us/sec/ (the website for the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) and click Citizen Information Service, then Citizen's Guide to Town Meetings, or click this direct link to the guide.
