Be prepared to give a quick description regarding the nature of the emergency and the address where the emergency response is needed.

NOTE: To aid emergency response teams, it is important to have house numbers visible from the street at all times. Don't let your house number get faded or covered by snow.

Engine 6 is the newest piece of apparatus to the fire department.  Engine 6 is a 2006 Ferrar Intruder 2, with a 6 man cab, 1000 gallons of water and a 1500 gpm pump.  Engine 6 is equiped with many important equipment, that allows us to take care of many emergency situations:

Engine 2 is a 4x4, 1986 Ford F-700, used for brush fire fighting and a structural fire fighting.  This important piece of equipment is full of unique and necessary equipment to deal with emergency situations.

Emergency Medical Services

The Dunstable Emergency Medical Squad works in conjunction with the Police and Fire Departments in responding to medical emergencies when needed. They also provide medical coverage for special town events and public education in the areas of health and emergency first aid.

Effective January 1, 2008, Dunstable's Emergency Medical Squad operates under direction of the Fire Chief.

Burning Permit - required for outdoor burning

Burning Season runs from January 15 through May 1, weather dependent.

A written burning permit must be purchased from the Fire Department by any homeowner intending to burn. The standard burning permit fee is $10/year. If the homeowner is 65 years of age or older, the fee is waived, but a written permit is still required.

Permits are issued at the Fire Station between the hours of 9:00 am and Noon on Monday through Saturday.
