Public Safety Crime Prevention Event-VIN Etching
Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Dunstable Fire Station - 28 Pleasant Street
Marks every window with your V.I.N
(Vehicle Identification Number)
On Saturday May 5th 2012 the Dunstable Police Department in conjunction with the Dunstable Fire Department, and the Governor's Auto Theft Task Force will sponsor an Auto Theft Prevention Program called "VIN Etching".
The event will be held at the Dunstable Fire Department at 28 Pleasant St, Dunstable MA from 9am-2pm.
The process, which takes approximately 5-10 minutes, etches the V.I.N. (Vehicle Identification Number) of your vehicle into all the glass windows of your vehicle by using a computer generated stencil and a glass reactive acid treatment.
This provides a visible deterrent to theft and can be good for a discount of 15% or more on your comprehensive auto insurance.
In order to participate you need to have the following items:
A vehicle with a current and valid registration.
$10.00 cash, which is paid to the Strike Force to defray the cost of supplies and equipment used in etching a vehicle.
A valid license to operate a motor vehicle in your possession.

If you have any questions about the event please contact Pamela Surette, Program Coordinator for the Governor's Auto Theft Strike Force, at 781-393-1201
