ALL POINTS BULLETIN
I checked back on my senior article from February of 2010 and I was talking about what a nice mild winter we were having. I was unable to find my February 2011 article; I think it got buried under all the snow of 2011!!! So here we are again looking at a mild winter. I know this article will print in March, so let’s see if Punxsutawney Phil’s brings us 6 more weeks of real winter.
I have a few local scams going on. The first one is someone has been calling seniors looking for personal information. They tell the senior that they need this information or they will lose their Medicare or prescription benefits. This is a scam do not give out your information.
The second scam is a man with a thick Middle Eastern accent, calling for your bank account information. He is very demanding and has been calling local bank customers. Do not give out any information. Your bank would never call you by phone; they would send you an official letter.
I would just like to remind everyone that Superintendant Tully of the Highway Department is still making buckets of sand available to seniors who cannot get out and get sand themselves. Give myself or Ruth Tully a call to have the sand delivered.
Finally, if you need a file of life, I have plenty available. I have placed a few at the front desk of the police station if you want to stop in for one. I will also bring more to the next senior lunch.
