Groton Community School (GCS) will host the fourth annual Groton Community Home Tour on Saturday, November 22, 2008 (snow date 11/23) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to exclusive access into distinctive and antique homes, including an 1830s Greek Revival Farmhouse that literally moved its owners, ticket-holders get a sneak peak at (and an early-bird opportunity to buy) holiday wares offered only by local artisans. It’s a great way to enjoy the rich culture of a small New England town while getting a jumpstart on holiday shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts!

Discount tickets for this very popular adult outing are on sale now. Groton Community School provides a map, a tour guide booklet (with directions, home profiles and vendor information) and complimentary coffee and donuts to help you plan and enjoy a self-guided tour through some of the area’s finest properties.

The mini-festival of artisans and vendors will also include a bake sale brought to you by GCS families, a chance drawing table and GCS recycle bags. In addition, ticket holders may purchase Designs by Lucinda pins, the brainchild of a once-homeless woman to pick herself off her feet and raise awareness for the issues surrounding homelessness.

Tickets are $25 ($35 with boxed lunch, prepared by The Groton Trading Company) if purchased ahead of time at: Body, Mind, Spirit – 493 Main Street, Groton (978) 449-0200; Lavender – 137 Main Street, Groton (978) 448-8411; Rose of Sharon – 101 Pleasant Street, Dunstable (978) 649-7559; Seasons at Calmore – 519 Main Street, Dunstable (978) 649-8882; and Groton Community School (978) 448-6179. Tickets are $30 when purchased at the door and does not include lunch. To purchase tickets online, for more information or to request a brochure, please visit: www.grotoncommunityschool.org.
