The Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) invites curious 7 to 11 year olds to join NRWA educators and naturalists for our "Wonders of Winter" program where we'll explore the science of snow and survival in our coldest season. This popular after-school series will run for eight Wednesdays- January 23 to March 19, 2008-from 3:30 to 5:00 PM, at the NRWA River Resource Center, 592 Main Street (Rt. 119), Groton. The series offers children a chance to learn about nature in winter, snow and ice with outdoor activities, science experiments, and games. School bus drop-off is available for Groton public school students.
Registration is required; the program fees are $130 for NWRA members and $160 for non-members. To register or for more information, please contact Stacey Chilcoat, NRWA River Classroom Director, at (978) 448-0299, or email . The NRWA is a non-profit environmental organization that depends on memberships for support.
