Hazardous Waste Disposal

You can dispose of hazardous waste materials or electronics once a year. Proof of Residency is required.

When: Typically, 2nd Saturday in May. Watch for a notice in the mail regarding the exact date and time.
Where: Tyngsborough Town Garage. 87 Kendall Road (Rte. 113)
Time: 9:00am-2:00pm

Keep in mind that the line for dropping off materials is often very long during the first few hours, and much less busy after noon.

How to Safely Transport Hazardous Waste

  • Leave materials in original containers
  • Tighten caps and lids
  • Sort and pack separately: oil paint, pesticides and household cleaners
  • Pack containers in sturdy upright boxes and pad with newspapers
  • NEVER MIX CHEMICALS
  • NEVER SMOKE while handling hazardous material
