The Town Clerk serves as an agent for state gaming and fishing licenses as well
as primitive firearm, archery and waterfowl stamps. For Fish & Wildlife information
and fees, you may visit their website
www.masswildlife.org. Federal regulations mandate
that hunters obtain a HIP number for waterfowl. Abstracts of the current MA Fish and
Wildlife Laws containing zone information, open season rules and regulations, etc.,
are available in the
Town Clerk's office. All first time hunters must show a Certificate
of Competency from the Hunter Education Bureau. Veteran hunters must show either this
certificate; or a previous hunting license; an F.I.D. card, or license to carry.
