Other Milestones:
- September 27, 2005 - Michael and Mark Vaccaro of Blue Ribbon Ventures
met with the Affordable Housing Study Committee to discuss how the 40B
project they are proposing to build would fit into the Town's Planned
Production Plan. They indicated a strong interest in pursuing the project as
a Local Initiative Project. The Committee indicated that the plan did not
require additional units to be certified until two years after the Salmon
Brook Commons units are certified.
- October 17, 2005 - Blue Ribbon Ventures presented
a proposal for a LIP to the Board of Selectmen. The project would
consist of 24 1600 square foot condos (site
layout,
first floor,
second
floor, rear elevation),
which would be constructed behind the existing house and barn. Thirty
percent (8 of 24) of the units would be sold as affordable units. The
Vaccaros offered the existing house to the town as a community center and
said they would also provide a safe foot path from the elementary school to
the library. A number of residents asked questions, which the Vaccaros
responded to.
- January 19, 2006 - The Board of Selectmen received a formal LIP Application
(download
in PDF format
- 812KB) from Mark Vaccaro
requesting support for Dunstable Village Estates as a Local Initiative Project
under Chapter 40B. Note: There is at least one attachment that was not included
in the original package (attachment #4 - site plan). Click here to read the
notes of that session.
- February 11, 2005 - The Board of Selectmen conducted a "Brain Storming
Session", the purpose of which is to receive input and collect data from
other town boards and residents regarding the proposed "Dunstable Village
Estates" project.
